TERMS OF SERVICE

Use the evidence. Respect the boundary.

The rules that keep Verisual useful, secure, and fair for every workspace.

EffectivePublic version 1.0

01

Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Service govern access to Verisual's website, software, APIs, command-line tools, and visual review service (together, the Service). “Verisual,” “we,” and “us” refer to the operator of the Verisual service and brand.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use Verisual for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and be at least 16 years old.

02

Accounts and acceptable use

Sign-in uses GitHub. You are responsible for keeping your GitHub account secure, maintaining accurate account information, and for activity performed by users you invite to your workspace.

You may not use the Service to:

  • break the law or infringe another person's rights;
  • access another customer's workspace, artifacts, or credentials;
  • disrupt, overload, probe, or bypass security or usage controls, except under a written authorization for security testing;
  • upload malware or content you do not have the right to process;
  • resell or misrepresent the Service without our written consent.

Report suspected security issues privately to security@verisual.com.

03

Your content and repositories

You retain ownership of your repositories, journeys, screenshots, baseline manifests, and other content. You grant Verisual a limited right to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content and use of Verisual comply with applicable law and any obligations to employees, customers, and other third parties. Do not place credentials or other unnecessary sensitive data in screenshots or journey definitions.

04

Plans, quotas, and retention

Verisual offers Free, Starter, and Pro plans. Current prices, usage limits, collaboration limits, and artifact-retention periods appear on the pricing page and at checkout.

  • Free usage resets at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each calendar month.
  • Paid usage follows the applicable Paddle billing period.
  • Hosted runner usage is browser-active duration rounded up to a minute per logical job. Validation and customer or target-site failures count; verified platform infrastructure failures and their retries do not.
  • A run already in progress may finish after a quota is crossed. New runs or resources may be blocked until reset or upgrade.
  • Default artifact retention is 7 days on Free, 30 days on Starter, and 90 days on Pro.

Limits are safeguards, not guaranteed capacity reservations. We may prevent abusive or automated use that materially harms the Service or other customers.

05

Billing, renewal, and cancellation

Paddle is the merchant of record and authorized reseller for paid Verisual subscriptions. Paddle processes payment, applicable taxes, invoices, refunds, and payment disputes.

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until canceled. The price, currency, tax treatment, discount, and renewal total presented in Paddle Checkout control the purchase. There is no paid-plan trial unless checkout expressly states otherwise.

You may cancel through Verisual's billing management screen or the management link in Paddle's receipt email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain paid access until then unless the subscription is refunded, suspended, or terminated for cause.

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policyand Paddle's applicable buyer terms. Promotional discounts do not change renewal or cancellation rights.

06

Optional AI features

The Free plan does not send screenshots to an AI model. On eligible paid plans, workspace owners may enable AI-assisted journey authoring and analysis of changed visual results. Pro workspaces may also run advisory QA, design, marketing, usability, Security & Privacy, Product Manager, Customer Support, and Business Owner agents against approved test targets, plus a Code Auditor against an immutable snapshot of a GitHub App-linked repository or pull request. Matching screenshots and missing-baseline results do not trigger model analysis.

AI output may be incomplete or wrong. You are responsible for reviewing generated journeys and analysis before relying on or merging them. Agent output may include false positives, incomplete analysis, recommendations based on assumptions, or outdated guidance. Agentic findings do not modify, approve, block, or merge code. Do not use AI output as the sole basis for decisions that could materially affect a person.

07

Availability and changes

We work to keep Verisual available and accurate, but the Service may experience maintenance, third-party outages, or errors. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, no service-level commitment applies.

We may change features or these Terms as the Service evolves. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes that negatively affect a paid subscription. Continued use after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

08

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Verisual at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, material breach, fraud, security risk, legal requirement, or conduct that threatens the Service or another customer. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.

Before closing a workspace, export any data you need. After termination, we delete or de-identify customer content according to the retention schedule, subject to backups, fraud prevention, financial records, legal holds, and other lawful obligations.

09

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that visual comparisons will identify every defect or that every flagged difference is material.

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data. Verisual's aggregate liability relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the affected Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be limited, including mandatory consumer rights.

10

Paddle terms and contact

Paid transactions are also governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms and applicable checkout disclosures. If those buyer terms conflict with these Terms on payment processing, tax, or refund administration, Paddle's terms control that transaction.

Questions about these Terms may be sent to legal@verisual.com. Support requests should use our Support page.
